
David (better known as Kav) has been in and around the world of sales for 30 years now. He's one of those 'accidental salespeople' who fell into a career that he hadn't set out to follow. What appealed to him was the aspect of solving problems for his customers rather than persuading them to buy products or services they didn't really need - an all too common practice. He places far more importance on EQ (emotional quotient) than IQ (intelligence quotient) - the ability to connect with people on an emotional level as opposed to demonstrating intellectual superiority.
He's just launched Prospect Pilot with a colleague, an online automated lead generation service to help SMEs open those all-important opening conversations.
Outside of work, and weather permitting, Kav enjoys flying his plane he has a share in. If the weather's less charitable, you'll find him walking the family dogs on Salisbury Plain or fixing fences and repairing other damage inflicted by his wife's horses.
